Beeping Codes

Hi - I try to find out about the language of the C3s: In a German forum in a thread the thread-starter has three beeps coming intermittendly when starting... Is there anywhere a thread or list, where the beeps are explained? (The problem in the German thread is not yet ok, we are still searching, battery and alternator seem ok).

3 beeps means there is something the driver needs to be aware of. Usually 3 beeps and a display on the dashboard or a light illuminated.

The one that catches most people out is the 'over speed warning set' that gives beeps and no one remembers setting it.



But check for dash or display warnings too

Thank you - but of course! I'll have to inquire about the dashboard-signs and lights. So if there were only the beeps and no signs, perhaps there is an important light without function ...

Today, pulling away, my relatively new C3 VTi gave me just these three beeps!! But the dashboard translated his cry for me, I had not yet loosened the handbrake ... . And by now I remember it was often very thrilling indeed to have a really VERY loud beep about ice on the street - one gets quite a start, a friend of mine driving alone and not knowing the car so well told me she had nearly had an accident because of the frightening ice-beep (!).
