My car's got an automatic electric window on the driver's side: one click and it opens or closes, but on the passenger side you have to hold the button to open or close the window. I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can make the passenger window a "one touch" one too just by getting an automatic button, or if there's other circuitry elsewhere to change as well.

These features are often BSI computer controlled. You can have a look in the BSI with lexia tool, but I have not seen the option for passenger single touch in there myself. It may be possible though as the left hand drive car will need single touch on the opposite side.
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel

Hi Arfur
Thank you. What got me thinking was I saw the car in the Haynes book has automatic on both sides. I'll try simply plugging the auto switch into the passenger side and see what happens

Hey Roy, did your solution work? I have the same question and was wondering if it is possible.

Hello,
I had a similar problem - windows on both sides wouldn't get full up (second position on switch), but every other "mode" worked. The problem was far more trivial than BSI related - switches had some dirt on the rubber part, after good cleaning everything worked fine.
