Hi all, new here so hoping I’ve posted this in the right place. I have a question about the automatic/dusk sensing headlights on my 2019 (69) C3 Flair.

They come on fine when the wipers are on or when it’s nighttime. My issue is on heavily overcast days and at dusk they don’t turn on early enough - all other vehicles around me have headlights on yet the C3 does not. Light levels have to drop A LOT before the system decides to turn on.

I’ve brought it to Citroën already and they replaced the light sensor under warranty - it was apparently faulty. Despite this the behaviour hasn’t changed.

I’m more than capable of turning the headlights on manually myself but just wondered if anyone else had encountered this problem and has a solution.

Cheers

Hello

I would go back to Citroen. You have had some luck with then admitting it was faulty.

Sometimes with uncommon faults like these you need to get Citroen UK involved and get them to contact the Citroen dealer.

Citroen UK may know how to fix it, but needs the dealer to do the work. You may find the dealer doesn't know how to fix this. You also need the customer (you) to drive the show forward.

Give the dealer another chance under warranty and if they still can't fix it, go to Citroen UK and give them the full story on who has done want and what you want to happen.
