Hi i have a citroen c3 1.1 desire 2004, the seats had to be changed but the original had 4 airbags but the new set has only 2 , the problem when starting the car is the airbag light bleeps and i understand this is an mot failure, please can someone help or talk me through how i can override or reset or anything to resolve this problem? Thanks you

The easiest thing to do would be to put back the original seats with the original air bags.

You won't be able to reconfigure the ABS computer without the dealer tool Lexia,( our lexia topic is here, well worth reading before buying one), but its not going to be an easy ride. There is no secret 'reset' to disable the airbag failure warning, other than reconfigure the ECUs to match the new configuration.

The car is behaving exactly as it should, with airbags missing you will definitely get an error from the car.
