Hello everyone! I'm new to this group and I have an Citroen C3 1.4 HDI DV4TD 2004.12.
I have some problems with the AC. More exactly, the AC started to randomly quit cooling, sometimes working, sometimes not. The compressor will suddenly kick into action for a very short time, 2-5 seconds and then quit. I thought that the compressor was damaged, but it wasn't. I checked the pressures, all fine, next checked Lexia data measurements, all fine, too, with the Evaporator temp around 15 degrees but plummeting to sub zero after 2-3 seconds of the compressor working.
I suspected the Evap Temp sensor, it sticks in the right side of HVAC unit just beneath the glove box(LHD Car, see the picture). I maked a sort of a test. I pulled out the Evaporator sensor, start the engine and switched on the AC. The compressor worked continuously. I stick it inside it's place and the bad behaviour come back.
I replaced the Evaporator sensor with a new one bought from Citroen/Peugeot dealer. The new one comes without it's connector, so i cut off those two wires one at a time to prevent their reversal.
I start the engine and switched on the AC. The behaviour was the same, nothing changed. The compressor worked for 2-5 seconds and then It stops. After a few seconds, it start again and stops after 2-5 seconds. I pulled the new sensor out and the compressor worked continuously. I cannot use the AC with the sensor pulled out. I don't know what to do.
I have almost the same problem like in the link, but doesn't work after I changed that sensor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X35a2D07GR8

I am not sure if this is relevant to your fault, but the BSI can drop out the air con compressor clutch when it decides it wants to.
Luckily you have access to lexia and you can check the load-shedding in there.
