Hi all
Hopefully somebody can help me with this!
The air con in my 2003 (53) 1.4 petrol C3 has needed regassing for a while but I’ve been making do without it.
Today the fan has stopped working, and neither the air con or rear view windscreen lights come on. There is also a suspicious looking wet patch on my drive under the front left wheel area.
I’ve had all the fuses checked but they’re all fine.
Can anybody shed some light on what the problem might be please?
Many thanks.
Ali

A very similar topic is 03 C3 climate control... (here) and the fault may be similar. The fan should still work even without sufficient a/c refrigerant in the system but, this may prove to be wrong.AliPru wrote: ↑Tue Jul 10, 2018 7:11 pm Hi all

Well this is strange - it’s all working again this morning.
The wet patch is still on the drive though so it’s obviously something oily as I’m sure it would have dried up in no time in this weather if it was just water.

In case anybody else is reading this and having the same problem the mysterious wet patch on the drive turned out to be the contents of the engine coolant reservoir.
I noticed the car was overheating, so drove it home with the heating on full blast and windows open to get the heat out (not at all pleasant in these current temperatures), and found the empty reservoir.
It’s in the garage now and needs a new radiator. Should be good as new in a couple of days. £195 all in. I can live with that.
