My air con hasn't worked since I brought the car, I am now attempting to get it fixed. I went to my garage and they told me the AC clutch is broken and quoted be £420 to fix it. I've just got a few questions which Google is no help with answering:
1 - What is the model or part number for the air con compressor so I can look for a second hand one?
2 - Where is the compressor located?

This is the A/C compressor seen from under the car and looking up after removing the engine under tray (if fitted).
You can see the yellow a/c clutch plug and socket
This is the off side front, wheel and plastic inner arch removed.
Its the one on the right.
Your problem will be the system will need to be depressurised, and the gas captured. You should fit a new dehydrator if you are doing major work on the high pressure system (the compressor) and this is also an additional cost. When the compressor has been replaced, they system will need its fill of refrigerant and oil to the correct level. The tools for this are not your usual DIY tools.
You can find second hand parts by looking here (ebay) or for new parts you can click here for new.
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel

Thank you for your help! I'll get a garage to do the repairArfur Dent wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 7:23 pmHi knimmoknimmo wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 5:26 pm My air con hasn't worked since I brought the car, I am now attempting to get it fixed.
