My ecu for airbags is also present the same as yours, just different sections not all in one place when entering airbag ecu.

The long list was a bit of a mess so I patched it together. I am sure the order doesn't matter and some options do move and change slightly with different versions of BSI software installed.00James00 wrote:My ecu for airbags is also present the same as yours, just different sections not all in one place when entering airbag ecu.
You are right, they are in different sections. You need to match your BSI configuration to what is actually installed in the car, that is why I added the pictures showing side air bags present (AIR BAG in the oval) and curtain air bags not present (nothing in the oval).
Do you get a message about the fault still being present?00James00 wrote:Hi thanks for the information, yeah I'm going into the airbag ecu then reading faults, then going into erase faults but it says faults still remain after erase screen.

It says NO communication to the Lexia
You also have two ? (question marks)
one for Injection and one for Rain Sensor/Brightness.
A ? (Question Mark) for injection has come up in a topic before
Lexia and OBD diagnostics on a Citroen C3
and was due to an old version of lexia trying to talk to a newer car. The solution was to update lexia software to a later version.
No dialogue is a communication problem. It would be best to update everything you can, configure it and see what doesn't communicate (hopefully nothing).

My car does have side airbags! sorry been working on it in the dark and didn't realise these were actually installed RH side airbags fault actually makes sense now lol, no curtain airbags.
Took plastics off like you said well i nearly broke it all as had to use that much force just to get gear stick cover off, the whole thing just pulled up lol after disconnecting window switches and lighter socket i still don't have easy access to the airbag ecu, will i need to take other surrounding plastics off the one that covers around hand break. is the bolt at the back of these plastics holding it down?
I will purchase the code but wondered if the key code and immobiliser code are the same code?
Also double checked connectors underneath the drivers seat and they seem fine
The connectors for my window switch and lighter socket are different but are the same principle of pushing in to release.
Ill be honest i got the car was cheap and with it being my very first car i didn't really know what should have came with it but ill not be making that same mistake again.
I am certainly trying to delete fault codes but it just states that faults remain.

No problem. Its important to only 'configure in' parts that are actually fitted otherwise you get errors for no reason (other than the parts are not present).00James00 wrote:My car does have side airbags! sorry been working on it in the dark and didn't realise these were actually installed RH side airbags fault actually makes sense now lol, no curtain airbags.
Thanks, Yes,00James00 wrote:Here the pics so far do i need to remove the other plastics that surround hand break
Yes, there is a nut under a cap on the other end and maybe 2 screws at the front.00James00 wrote:Took plastics off like you said well i nearly broke it all as had to use that much force just to get gear stick cover off, the whole thing just pulled up lol after disconnecting window switches and lighter socket i still don't have easy access to the airbag ecu, will i need to take other surrounding plastics off the one that covers around hand break. is the bolt at the back of these plastics holding it down?
I would ask the people selling the code. The C3 only came with one code and that was on the card. But if you want to be sure you are getting the right thing, ask them if the code will allow you to program keys to the car.00James00 wrote:I will purchase the code but wondered if the key code and immobiliser code are the same code?
Great, if you find anything that can help others along the way, a photo would be useful.00James00 wrote:The connectors for my window switch and lighter socket are different but are the same principle of pushing in to release.

Well, no, maybe.00James00 wrote:Actually i only have lexia installed, should i also install diagbox? is this the update you mean.
Lexia is available in different versions, from early ones they were updated to work on later cars. The software will tell you which version of lexia you are running and there is a limit to the version number. You may be running an old version of lexia that is not compatible with a 2004 car? You could update lexia by downloading an update. BUT, it may just be easier to install Diagbox which updates Lexia to the highest version possible and any car then needs a higher version will just start Diagbox instead (your won't need Diagbox)
But, be careful with high number versions of diagbox if you have an old clone lexia and not the new 'revision C'. You will need to read the sales information or support files and read.me files to see which is the highest version you can upgrade to without doing any damage.
I suppose it depends if its easier to download lexia updates or a copy of Diagbox and which version of lexia you are running....

Yes, good to go for the latest Diagbox you can get your hands on.00James00 wrote:Hi this is the description of the lexia I bought

But you will still only be using Lexia for your 2004, but possibly a later version.
