Arfur is there a step by step for getting that centre plastics off that's connected to gear shaft? And how do I disconnect the lighter plug and 2 window buttons?

Ordered an ecu from eBay, will need to know steps to get to ecu, I know where it is and seen it but had trouble disconnecting window button and electric socket. How do you also get that plastics per past the gear shift. I disabled all the configuration like you recommended and try to see what faults would erase but they all still remain. Also looked into updating BSI through the downloads option and got the warning sign in picture, I do not have the original key codes for the car

If you find you need the key code there are websites you can get the code from, this is an example click here.
No recommendations for this site (or any others), but if you find you need to go down the BSI reload route you'll need the code.
Should you get a code you can verify it before reloading software by entering one of the functions that prompts for the code.

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried

Centre console plastics removal00James00 wrote:Arfur is there a step by step for getting that centre plastics off that's connected to gear shaft? And how do I disconnect the lighter plug and 2 window buttons?
How to remove the gear stick knob
redirects you to:
Citroen C3 passenger stuck down
and there is also this picture in that topic

a date of 00/00/00 looks like the first and only BSI download. That would suggest there is another available
and this is very clear
Its a shame you didn't check that everything was with the car that should have been, but then again you wouldn't have been able to test the code before you purchased the car.
Great !!Missing Lincs wrote:f you find you need the key code there are websites you can get the code from, this is an example click here.

They need to be read and cleared. Each one in turn. Maybe this doesn't work, but I am surprised. Are you sure you are erasing the code?00James00 wrote: I disabled all the configuration like you recommended and try to see what faults would erase but they all still remain.
Close is good.00James00 wrote:This is the closest ecu I could get. It's from a HDI and myn is petrol but it's very close

Hi thanks for the information, yeah I'm going into the airbag ecu then reading faults, then going into erase faults but it says faults still remain after erase screen.

I have some AIR BAG pictures to keep the topic AIR BAG relatedI can't see anything about front satellites in the description does my car not have these.

The C3 is a 2002 and has side, front and passenger air bags, but no curtain ones.
This is the side impact air bag
and this one is where the curtain ones would have been identified (in the oval)
This is the LEXIA configuration for this car for AIR BAG
and this is the BSI configuration for enabling the AIR BAG ECU communication.
Hopefully it is of some help to you.
