Yeah no problem.

I think i have seen the connectors underneath the seats so ill try what you advised with the battery disconnected (i only need to disconnect the red positive on the battery don't i?) will also get those pictures for you and if you require any more of the car that allows you to help other people then please let me know.

I have read that bad connections behind the passenger airbag disabling switch has caused someone to have the airbag warning light show up but would this not show up just the passenger airbag light or both?

Should i also try moving the sensors underneath the seats as i have heard this can only be a cause.

When disabling and enabling the passenger airbag should the warning light come on when its disabled or enabled or only when someone sits in the seat? Is it also safe to disable and enable when the battery is connected.

I have ordered the owners manual and service guide for my car so will try not to ask obvious questions in the future. i just trust your opinion lol

Thank you

james

Hello guys

Right little update I went out and checked the fuses and seems fine, battery off at time. So looked underneath driver seat, well pulled our driver seat draw which I didn't know was there lol and it's looks like all the wires have either dropped of seat or been pulled off. I have attached some photos. The wires just go over the metal bar underneath the seat. The little black stud things aren't attached to anything. Are these the sensors or just to keep the wires elevated

I didn't even notice :P Thank you for the pictures.

That is right, they should be clipped in to make things neat and tidy so they don't snag on things. It looks like someone has been there before you!!

I would say pulled as those clips you can see in your photos can be quite difficult to prise from the car.

They keep things tidy.

Yes, just the one that is easy to release.
00James00 wrote:Should i also try moving the sensors underneath the seats as i have heard this can only be a cause.
Disconnect them and reconnect them. I would guess this has already been done because there is lots of evidence someone has got there before you.

Yes, its designed to be switched by the drivers key, so battery still connected but ignition off. The light should be on in one position and off in the other.

Hi,

Took connectors apart and gave them a little blow lol before attaching them back together, turn the ignition on and those 3 dreaded beeps occur and light permantly stays on. With lexia will it pin point exactly where the fault is occurring or will it just give an airbag faulty code. Spoke to a mechanic and he said the trouble with the diagnosis machines is it'll tell you what is faulty but not indicate exactly where the fault is :-( would probably cost more putting it in a garage then the car actually cost

The mechanic is correct, it gives you a place to look at, but not exactly which bit is faulty. But for some faults it can give you some step-by-step tests to perform to further pinpoint the problem. You may also get 'suggested actions' for common fault codes. It may even just be a programming fault as Missing Lincs suggested earlier and lexia can fix that.

Thank you,

going to order myself one and see what can be done, tried talking to the guy who sold me the veichle and was basically too tuff sh*t, he's obviously had a mechanic go over the car with the wires etc being pulled down from underneath the chair.

Hopefully lexia can give me a fix as i could be spending ages looking over all the what it could be's, just a shame my first car and experience has lead to this, but overall i absolutely love the c3

These are a few screen grabs of some of the lexia screens I have to hand. These are a bit thin on the ground with the information but you can press F5 and F6 in lexia for more information about the fault showing.

Right guys hope yous are around today, lol.

Received lexia 3 and it's looks a little complicated am I right in thinking this has to be done through a Microsoft OS and cannot be done on my MacBook?
