I have recently purchased another C3 after some idiot wrote my last one off.

The problem I have is that when I press the AC button it does not go on the display.

Any suggestions please?

Hi Fi, sorry to hear about the write off. Its encouraging to hear you replaced it with another C3 :)

There are several different A/C systems fitted to the C3.

This is Climate Control or fully automatic air conditioning

and other similar looking panels that don't have a screen.

If the button doesn't function it may well be faulty.

You only said the display didn't change, rather than if the air con went on or off with the button presses.

The control panel can be changed with one from eBay (here) if it proves to be faulty. The proof can be by substitution (just change the panel) or by lexia and that takes a bit of learning but will tell you if its a fault elsewhere. The lexia topic is here.

My display is similar to the top one you show except the button on the bottom right says A/C

Feel a bit of an idiot lol. Set the temperature at 22 and I can now turn off the AC. Don't really understand climate control but am slowly learning the hard way.

With Climate control you can set a temperature and if the windows are closed and the engine is running the climate control will try to maintain that temperature set by adding heat or removing heat. That is the 'auto' button on the left.

You can overide the automatic and set different things like recirculation, vent selection and if the air conditioning is used to maintain a temperature. Just press any of the other buttons and 'auto' will disengage any you can have manual control.

There is a special windscreen demist program - button on the top left.

and the rear demist function is on the top right.
