Hello Paul.
Can you tell us a little bit more about what happened please.
You braked in the wet and your ABS light came on?
Is the light still on?

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried

It means you have a fault with the ABS system. The brakes will still work and feel OK, but you will not have any anti-lock. The warning will make the car fail an MOT. How old is the car?paulburgh wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 7:33 am Hi Can anyone tell me a little bit more what this warning light mean, or is it dangerious?? would a code reader be able to tell me ?? There could be several causes. I have had it happen twice, the first time it was diagnosed as a rear sensor, which was replaced under extended warranty, but they also found a corroded ABS ring. The second time it was the other side, and this time a new ABS ring was enough to sort the problem. On later cars (ours was 2011) it may cause the tyre pressure monitoring system to fail.

hi, the car is a citroen c3 picasso 2009 new style dies 1.6 vtr+
i was just driving along about 58mph on a dual carriageway, it was wet and there was a beep and on the display just said Abs System Fault, and the light is still on?? is it an expensive job to get fixed ?? would a garage diagnostic find the fault??
It still brakes fine and it did go out this morning only for about 5 mins and then it went on again. I did have a rear left squeeky brake, protyre just said that it was brake dust and told me it was 50% worn, would they have to have taken of the wheel to find this out??
Thanks for helping everyone Paul
