ABS not working, NO warning lights

Hey guys,

I just changed into new brake pads on the front wheels, the discs could use a change too for good measure, but the bolts are too rusted and stuck, so it would have to be a later project when I've got a weld at hand.

Anyhow, after having changed the brake pads I took her out to feel the brakes, they seemed to work just fine until I tested a hard stop.
That is when the right hand wheel came to a screech.

Now I figure I mustve managed to adjust the brakes unevenly, so having a look at that right now.

Here's to the point
What bothers me is that I believed the car to have ABS, couldve sworn I've tested and felt it, but I cannot seem to find any ABS lights at all (even when starting the car or holding a flashlight to the control panel), there just doesn't seem to be a control lamp.

So, naturally I turned to google to see if there were Citroen C3's from 2002 produced without ABS. Computer says no.
Now google is normally your friend, but I figured I'd ask at this forum as there seems to be many experienced and knowing characters here.

so in short,
1. Is there a risk that this car was never fitted with ABS?
2. If there is an ABS, is there something I might've done to mess it up by loosening and tightening bolts around the front brakes area?

Hi Bob,

Does the C3 have an ABS unit as shown in the topic you posted?
