Hi. I have a 2006 citroen c3 petrol 1.6.

Basically after replacing the battery the car wouldn't start, I checked fuses and the 20a no 8 fuse (starter) was blown. I replaced that and drove around fine, but after stopping, popping into a shop, and trying to start it again, the fuse had blown again. I did hear a loud click once I turned off the car and it powered down. I was assuming I'm blowing the fuse on starting but maybe it's on engine shut down? What could it be? And how costly? Thanks

The starter solenoid gets old and can blow the fuse. If the solenoid is old, so is the starter. Best to have a new (or reconditioned) starter and solenoid fitted. Have a look at this link to euro car parts for starter motors to get a price of the part (enter your reg for full compatibility checks).
