Hi guys
I have a C3 model year 2014.

Problem is with locking/unlocking the front passenger door and only that door is not working.
to begin with locking the door locks only when autolock sets in (after a few seconds driving). locking the door using keys with fob or manually doesnt work, neither does the lock/unlock button inside the car.. so now in order to keep the door lock i have to go out of the car from the drivers door so that i will keep the door locked. Opening the door from inside using the hand open releases the lock and by then it will not be possible to lock the door again.
when the door is locked with autolock , the only way to open it again is from the inside hand knob. Neither central lock nor manual unlocking with key unlocks it.

I did a BSI reset with no help.
I had a few broken light bulbs changed just before this problem appeared, can that be related to the problem?

Any ideas? all help is appreciated :)

Hi cosonic

The only thing I can thing of that is related to your fault for a single door is the 'door solenoid pack (here)'. This does the lock/unlocking and there is one in each door.

It would be worth trying a replacement door solenoid pack, but other than that, I don't see an easy fix because you will have to get into wiring diagrams to check the loom and then there is a faulty BSI possibility :( But you want to only go down this route last.

If the door solenoid pack dosesn't help, you can start testing with lexia/diagbox tool (here) for the unlock/lock and door closed signals.

Some pictures for removing the C3 door solenoid packs are here for the early models and 2014 will be similar to these.

I don't know. You would have to dig deep into the wiring diagrams for the locking system if you really wanted to know.

It's only my best guess, as 2014 shouldn't have any locking issues due to worn out parts, it's an unusual fault and my suggestion was a relatively quick and easy to prove that it isn't or is the only single point for failure.

Ok, so other than that, you are going to get in very deep and lexia will be your best tool to see the signals back to the BSI .

If you think this may be connected you can remove the lamps you replaced and test the central locking again.

The BSI does locking and lights so if there is some serious problems with the lights you may be able to affect the BSI lock feature.
