Good afternoon all ,

I have a 2012 Citroen c3 1.4 hdi .

The problem is the rear wash wipe doesn't work from the stalk .
If powered Via the bsi with the lexia all work as they should .
If I look at the standard parameters with lexia in the com 2000 unit it is seeing both wash and wipe active / inactive when operating the switch but no click from the bsi ?
I have tried another com2000 unit (same part numbers ) but still doesn't work .

Front wash/ wipe all work as they should via the switch .
Any ideas where to check next would be greatly appreciated .

Many thanks dean

I have just noticed in the bsi wipe menu , when you request to wipe rear screen it says yes when switched with the com unit but rear screen wipe command no .
Does this mean the bsi is toast ?

Your bio says you have a 2003 C3 but the question refers to a 2012 C3?

If the actuator tests and the switch tests work then I have no idea.
I am not sure what you mean in your last post can you clarify?
I am not sure but could the rear wipe/wash be turned off in the BSI or equipment menu? That's all that I've got.

If everything works from the actuator tests then there is nothing wrong with the BSI or BSM. And if the switch test show the switches being selected then there is nothing wrong with the COMs!

Did you just buy the car? If you have owned the car for a while did this just srart?

Try looking in the Lexia menus and see if the rear wipe/wash can be de-selected.

It's possible that the car has had some sort of an update and that has screwed up the equipment list. I've seen stuff like that before.

Hi ozvtr , thankyou for the reply .
I save dead c3,s and have been doing so for the last 10 years , I've had over 80 in that time so I am afraid that's why it says the wrong car .
I am also dyslexic so having just read my post I don't understand it either 😂.
I am working for the next couple of days so I will connect the lexia up early next week and write down the steps and menu,s that I am in lexia when I do it ( maybe it will make more sense then 😂) .
It's very rare one stumps me and when it does I find this forum extremely helpful .
I will update my post early next week .
Many thanks

Right here goes 😂
Bsi
Actuators test both rear wash/ wipe work as they should

Bsi
Wipe menu
Request to wipe the rear screen goes yes when done with the stalk
Then
Rear screen wipe command still says NO when done with stalk
Staying in the same menu but going to bsi washing and demisting
Rear screen washing request goes to active with stalk but rear screen washing control stays inactive .
What I really want to know is what makes the request into a command ? I think this is where it's going wrong .
Next
Controls under the steering wheel
Standard parameters
Wiper commands
Rear wash and wipe both go active when done from stalk .
I have looked in configuration and customer menus and rear wash wipe are there so it is configured to the car .
I'm baffled, I don't like things getting the better of me .
I think the problem is the lack of a command after the request but what actually does the command part ? ,is it a chip in the bsi ?
