2010 Panoramic Roof Cover- come off sliding rails

I have just recently bought a 2010 C3 on picking it up from a private buyer I was aware the sliding roof cover was not working! But I did not realize it would be so complicated or expensive to fix.
I’m not sure if there is a piece missing at the ends as it slides off and comes down so at the moment it’s up but not using it or touching it.

Has anyone had this problem and how do I fix it,? my local garage although helpful said a new complete part would be £1820 and that’s before fitting - so completely out the question. And I can’t find anything on line about it - like a utube video on how to fix so any ideas please on how to do it- Thankyou

I think the part you have been quoted for (new) is 195035231 - available on eBay as a used, but working, guaranteed part, at a much more reasonable price.
