Hi Essjkay

It doesn't seem to be a common problem with the C3, is this the original windscreen or was it replaced recently?

Other cars have reports of squeaking windscreens and they often seem to be pinned down to the interior trim, rather than the actual windscreen itself.

It is the original screen the plastic near the bottom of the screen passenger side by wipers seems a little looser than perhaps it should be though... I expect it may be time for a new screen... this is my second c3 .. I like em because usually they are fairly straightforward to maintain/repair ... ive changed radiator ...gear linkages etc ...

Maybe its would be worth taking out the several bits of plastic that are below the screen. They are quite easy to remove and can collect debris or possibly has become disloged. Most of the plastic below the screen slots or clips together.

It turns out after investigating under wipers to no avail - all it needed was a spray of silicon lubricant from the inside along the whole windsreen between where the glass meets the plastic trim - NO More Creaking - Sorted - hope this helps people - fixed for a fiver - or less if you already have the silicone Lubricant.
