I recently had both front shocks changed and thought I'd get new top mounts whilst I was at it.
Gave 2 brand new top mounts to my mechanic, to which he changed. First, the left side rubber split, then the same on the right side. They've both split on the rubber right around where the stud goes. I've attached a pic and circled where they've split in red.
He puts it down to cheap parts, but how can 2 brand new mounts split like that? Is it possible? Has anyone seen this before?

Hi
Where did you get the parts from?
Do they have any packaging, got photos?
Photos of the actual part?

Hey, so the parts were bought from a local supplier near me. Part no. AEM5190APH.C3driver52 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 8:59 am Hi

If you search for AEM5190 you get a few results. I don't have any pics of the new parts unfortunately, the only pics I have are attached. Looks like there's a locator pin, perhaps I was supplied the wrong part?

Thank you for the update.
No need to close the thread or delete it. others may have similar symptoms of C3 Picasso front suspension problems and it can help guide them to the possible cause or at least something to rule out.
