Climate control is in need of some TLC, took it to F1 for a regas, they said there was a leak and it was more than likely at the condenser end, which I sort of knew anyway as one of the pipes has corroded and is now free of the coupling on the LHS of the condenser.
The CC has now stopped altogether, the fan will not engage whether to blow hot or hotter, does this mean the CC has been 'degassed'?
I'm looking at fitting a new condenser myself then getting it regassed, what should I be aware of, if anything?
Or is it easier, to let the garage complete the job and save my knuckles?

No, the fan should still run with no a/c refrigerant in the system.BazookaBoo wrote: ↑Tue Jul 10, 2018 4:22 pm The CC has now stopped altogether, the fan will not engage whether to blow hot or hotter, does this mean the CC has been 'degassed'?
But another topic has appeared with very similar problems to yours here. Seems to have a similar problem with regas required and then the fans stopped working.
I would leave the repairs to the garage that has the correct leak detecting equipment and drying capabilities. But I suppose it depends on how handy you are or how much money you want to save.

Thank you!
I had a really good look at the condenser today and noticed at the bottom left of it, one of the refrigerant pipes, (the small diameter one) had popped out of it's mounting to the condenser, hence the 'leak'.
On even closer inspection it seems that metal adaptor plate that the pipe fits into held in place by the 'O' ring and then screwed onto the condenser, was missing completely, so off to car heaven to obtain a second hand one.
I now have adaptor plate, am waiting on the post to deliver me some 'O' rings, then I shall attempt securing the metal pipe back into the condenser before having it regassed.
The A/C control panel is still fickle, sometimes it comes on, then goes blank, then comes back to life, currently it's hibernating.... I will update if/when I get it regassed and source the issue with the climate control blower..!

Well, the 'O' ring arrived, duly fitted, back off for its regas, only for the condenser to fail and lose all the air......new one ordered.
In the meantime, it appears I have a 'fairweather' Citroen, as when it rains, the CC panel packs up, turning itself off then back on again, blowing at full capacity, then switching off, front demister on, then off.......and so the cycles continues.
Is it likely to be the control panel itself that is faulty, as when I turn on the rear demister, it turns off, then kind of reboots itself and comes back on again, but changes all the settings??
