Hi guys any help advice appreciated, I have c3 xtr 55 plate 85k miles sensodrive snowflake on dashboard. I can select gears and does move in 1st gear snowflake present however does not rev in reverse even though gear has engaged R on dashboard foot down nothing chuck in back in 1 and it moves... been cycling 8 months and no sign that will change, the car has been main dealer diagnosed gear selector I bought a used one told me it was fine went the full cycle on programme but fault still there changed gearbox ecu and clutch actuator still same. It has been to a automatic specialist who said actuators seem fine and 70% sure gearbox linkage or clutch pressure plate not working,? Again any advice as I'm at a loss thanks

A fault has been recorded.

Not many things left to change :(

Hmm 70% is not great.

I would read the error codes, to find the reason for sport/snowflake which is something the the main dealer should have/did. But if you do it yourself, you can see exactly what the code is and do as many code reads as you like.
Use the Citroen diagnostic tool called Lexia or Diagbox to get the code from the gearbox ECU and BSI computers.

You can find the Lexia clone on Amazon.

But as you have changed most of the parts, there isn't much left to change.

Main dealer gave me p0750 shift solenoid gear selector... I provided used part which they tested and said was fine as it programmed to gearbox ecu fine once they started it fault reappeared. The dealer then said if I would authorise a few hrs extra labour to look at possible wiring issues I declined not convinced they actually new what they were doing.

Did you provide them with a new gear selector stick or the shift solenoid unit?

The gear selector stick is not shown in the diagram above.
