Hi Andy, 3 litres from drained and 6 litres if you empty the torque converter.

I should have perhaps bought her a proper DS 19/21/23 ..... a SM would have gone over her head

No. But as pointed out by neighbour (Peugeot tech) at 27500 miles, the car/ATF hasn't been anywhere yet. He also said, that of all the cars brought in for the updated gearbox software, they almost all come back in for new solenoids.Missing Lincs wrote: ....., I can't see anywhere but did you replace the gearbox oil/fluid?
Unfortunately as you imply, the car is used for short journeys .... EmilysMum's work is about a mile & a half away so she probably does about 3000 miles a year at best. We do try to take it for a run when we can eg used it to drive to Cheshire Oaks (Oh Goody!!Missing Lincs wrote:True, but the car is 6 years old and what sort of journeys does it do regularly? Lots of short stop starts and no motorways?
I would suggest change the fluid (flush is possible), go for a good blast or two down the motorway, and then possibly even change the fluid again.
Hi nikesh_it, you need to connect the car to a Lexia System, like this one or this one. Doing this is the only way to find the error code that gives your message 'Gear Box Faulty'.nikesh_it wrote:Now i.m getting Error MSG "Gear Box Faulty " in my dash board.
On further analysis i found i.m getting this MSG only once in a day. After switching OFF & Switching ON the engine the MSG went & system is normal.
Also i found when i take the car in the morning within 1 KM i.m getting this MSG when i drive in 40-50 KM speed. But when i drive first 1-2 KM in less than 20-30 KM speed i.m getting this MSG.
Can you explain me why i.m getting this MSG everyday when i start the car , Its something like Systems is checking all the parts.
