Hi evryone,
just purchased a second hand citroen C3 2013 auto which is not displaying the selected gears (nor the sport/snow indicators) on the display.

It has been scanned by the shop (not sure how generic the OBD scanner was) and it came back clean on all modules.

No warning or flashing lights.

Car drives fine (or are least it seems to me). No lack in power, responsiveness etc.

Had a look on here but i couldn't find anything similar (everyone that seems to have similar issue had sport/snow flashing lights or troubles with shifting/power etc)

Does anyone have had (or have knowledge) of such issue?

I'm planning to get the lexia and the cable (but it might take a while).
In the meantime, if safe to do, i was thinking to try the BSI reset procedure (battery etc etc) to see if anything changes.

Any advise will be highly appreciated.

Cheers 👍👍👍

Hi

The sensodrive doesn't have sport and snow indicators because it is a robot controlled gearbox with a clutch.

right... i thought that was the name...
then it's the normal PRDN with the 2 buttons sport/snow...

question still stands i guess then 🤪🤪

everything works fine (sport/snow mode, auto gear shifting, manual gear shifting)...
simply no feedback on the display (no PRDN, current gear when on manual nor sport/snow indicator when in auto)

The 'screen' should show quite a lot of information, not just the gear selected.

I don't see an option to disable the selected gear display in the manual, so it would be worth checking that the other expected features of the display are working as it may not be a gear box fault, but rather a fault with showing information on the display.

One of the good reasons to fully inspect (and test the features) of a car, before parting with any money because these faults can be very difficult to track down :|

everything else is on the display when activated (cruise control, limit, etc etc)...
the only missing bits, as mentioned, are

the selected gear (PNRD 1234 any related symbols)
snow/sport indicators

can take further pictures with those on, but i don't see any benefit in doing that...

Probably best to hook it up to lexia clone tool and look at the gearbox ecu, the display ecu and their configuration. I don't see it as a common fault, so some digging would be needed.

Yes, that has always been the plan after having tried the BSI reset procedure with no luck.

I just hoped that maybe someone else might have experienced (or dealt with) something similar in the meantime as it'll take a while to get the tool delivered to Australia 🤪🤪

btw... i found this seller on ebay that told me this is what i need... Can anyone confirm if it is the right tool for the job?

Car and all the features were fully inspected and tested.
Car came clean from a scan made at the shop (not sure how "detailed" the tool could be/go)

Reason why we decided to go anyway with it is because it seemd to me that it might have been just a misconfiguration on modules as everything else is spot on on the car

Yes, that is it. Did you read my link to see what is required to run it?
