P0501, warning lights for abs and engine, not beyond 2nd gear

Hi All

My C3 Pluriel has developed a fault with the sensodrive gearbox. When selecting gears from the paddles, I can go into 2nd gear but not beyond. When I leave the car in "auto" mode, I can't move beyond 1st gear...

I don't have the snowflake icon on the dashboard and the car knows when auto is selected or not, I can still select neutral or reverse as normal, I just can't go beyond 2nd gear manually or 1st gear auto.

I have warning lights for abs and engine showing on my dash also.

I put the car on my obd scanner which showed P0501 fault codes (vehicle speed sensor), however both of these units were replaced in February of this year by a previous owner and receipts to prove (not sure if he's fitted them correctly though).

Please can anyone help with this?

I would fix the error you have, then you can further diagnose the gearbox problem (if any).

This will need further diagnosing before you can continue, try the citroen lexia clone tool to gather live data on vehicle speed to see if the computer can capture vehicle speed data.
