Fully auto not senso drive snowflake and S light on

Hi our fully auto c3 beeps then puts the snowflake light on and the S symbol but then won't change up any higher than 3rd gear. It changes down ok though. If you switch it off and then start up it drives ok for a while then te same happens again.
Please can you help ?

Snowflake (*) and Sport (S) warnings are just a general error message.

To find what the actual error messages is, you need to connect the car up to Lexia clone tool, from there you can better diagnose the fault. You can find out about the lexia tool here (the lexia reading topic).
