ABS sensor ring on a Citroen C3 hidden in wheel bearing

This is correct, but its not possible to see the sensor ring as its inside the bearing. The non abs and abs wheel bearing look the same and its even possible to fit the sensor wheel bearing incorrectly.

No, this is the old sensor ring from a very old car and nothing like the one used on the C3.

1- Engine ECU
2- BSI
3- Gearbox ECU

i want to know that this error come from where ....

and buy the way ....
i want know that i can change sensor drive gearbox to normal automatic gearbox and with model can match.
somebody told me that can change the gearbox to peugeot 206 gearbox ... is it true ? can i change that ???

The speed comes from the ABS system. You said you changed one sensor, but did you check the wiring and connections to the other ABS sensors? Why did you change one, was that one faulty?

I would use lexia to read the road speed signal from the ABS ECU, BSI etc. You can then break things down to locate where the fault is by seeing which ECUs get the signal (if any).

I will try and get some screenshots of the sort of lexia captures I am trying to describe and add them to the topic


Do you have the same sized wheels and tyres on the car? because mismatched wheel/tyres may cause a poor reading for the ABS system giving this sort of error...

i changed both of front speed sensor .... but i didn't check revers . to day i will check .

i don't have Lexia scan , i have Maxi scan and i put screen shot in last post .

- snow is turn on.
- Manual/auto button is doesn't work and auto light in my dash always turn on and of
- break light also turn on

i have just gear 1 N R (working)
but no gear 2 3 4 5 6 7 7 8 9 9 ((((((((

I doubt it would be viable. Probably just easier to buy a fully automatic C3.

The sensodrive is a manual gear box with a solenoid controlled clutch and solenoid gear selector, so switching a sensodrive to a manual would be much more viable, but still not worth it considering the number of cheap C3 manuals around.

Check the switch behind the brake pedal (LHD) or in the passenger compartment on RHD cars and also check the test in the image below

You won't be able to diagnose ABS faults with maxiscan, you need lexia.

This is what I was trying to show, the signal from the 4 wheel sensor and the computed speed signal. Use this to test your 4 wheel sensors

And for the one below, you can see the brake pedal that you also have a problem with, using the right tool (lexia) can help diagnose the problem when it gets complicated.
