i want to change my solenoid valves.... do i need to update the ECU agter ..changing it? i have 2005 c3 1.4hdi... plz help guyz thnx

If you fit the later revision if valve you will need to update the ECU, but if you already have the new valves then no updating of the automatic gearbox ECU is required.

There is a walk through on replacing the 2 solenoid valves that give trouble in the AL4 here:

HI,
As I have just changed the valves on an 04 plate c3 1.4
I would say there is a very good chance that you have the later valves fitted ie. black connector.
Therefor changing is straightforward and no software updates are required.
