automatic changes up too soon, struggles and changes down again

Not sure if anyone has had this problem but when going up hills the automatic gearbox when starting from a slow speed in 1st gear changes in to 2nd ok then wants to change in to 3rd at about 25 mph and then there is not enough power (car struggles) and car changes back down to 2nd. Ok on flat but hills are a nightmare at low speeds particularly from 2nd to 3rd.

Low level of the ATF fluid can give strange gear change problems.

Check the level and top up if necessary :roll: (the level checking requires topping-up in the process, so have some Mobil ATF LT 71141 to hand for this:
