what are peeps running their Lexia on?
It doesn't need to be 'good' in modern terms to run lexia :).

Battery can be a problem if you don't have a power source near by for old laptops.

I was running it on a Satellite Pro A210

Processor 2.0GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60
Memory 2GB of 667MHz
Hard drive 120GB at 5,400rpm
Graphics ATI Radeon X1200 (integrated)
Chipset AMD M690V
Operating system Windows XP Professional

Only because that was an old retired laptop that was no longer used in the home. It was fine for a few years until the battery became completely useless.

Nothing special laptop (in todays standards) for Lexia

Now I have a newer laptop with a better battery and run XP on a swap out hard drive for it.

theses is where i got to,

where it says Diagbox 7.02, it won't load, tries to burn it to a disc? pretty sure it did on the other laptop?

also, it says its a "file image"?

even had this come up

i have to say, this is the s**t thing i have ever had to misfortune to come across, everything else has been bung it in the CD/DVD drive, and outrun, then away you go

may even send the laptop back now too

You keep clicking in ISO file but because you still have file extensions 'off' you can't see what you are doing wrong

You have the 'view file extensions' switched off in your vista which makes it difficult to see what you are showing.

This is how you show file extensions

Because you keep clicking an ISO image file?

The version of diagbox or lexia installed may be sufficient for your year of C3. No need to do updates if they are not needed. Don't do any online updates.

Why are you trying to install VMplayer on a 32 bit system? No need for that when installing lexia with your old laptop.

Did you even read those instructions you posted as an image further up the page?
The instructions seem quite clear and easy to follow? and you can even skip the final steps if you don't want (or need - see above) to upgrade to the latest version.

ah sorry, didn't know you could do that here, every other forum tends to want you to use something like photobuchet :?
Yes, please use 'Browse' and then 'Add the files (s)' button.

Its then possible to insert each attached image into the post or just leave it and they will appear at the bottom of your post.

didn't even know there was that option on the laptop i currently have, this one at minute, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112053480022? ... EBIDX%3AIT before it gets sent back

never had this on the Vista system before, this is why its confusing the hell out of me

not trying to "update", was just trying to get anything to load

Why are you trying to install VMplayer on a 32 bit system? No need for that when installing lexia with your old laptop.

which laptop are you referring to now, the current Dell, or the Vista system? also, i don't know stuff like that, and now you've said that, I'm thinking that maybe one of the discs is for a 32 bit system, and the other disc is for a 64 bit one?

Did you even read those instructions you posted as an image further up the page?
The instructions seem quite clear and easy to follow? and you can even skip the final steps if you don't want (or need - see above) to upgrade to the latest version.

i don't find it clear at all tbh, "install the magicISO", thought i had but it doesn't do anything, "mount the Diagbox V7.02 using the magicISO", how??????? nothing seems to do anything :? :? :? :?

"run the Diagbox from desktop", doesn't say how to get it onto the desktop :? :? :?

sorry if it sounds like I'm being thick, but i can get from one to the other bit, all seems to suggest that it just goes there
