Hello,
i asked to the chinese seller if the Lexia is suitable with my citroen c3 1.4 hdi, year 2004
He told me that the all the Lexia do not work with diesel cars.
I were going to buy it, but this chineese seller suggested me to not buy it because he told that Lexia 3 does not work for diesel cars.
So now i dont know what i have to do...
Someone used the Lexia for diesel cars?

Hello vicolodo.

I'd try another seller, Lexia should work with all models. The only consideration is to make sure that the software you use on your PC is later than the age of the vehicle. With a 2004 vehicle that won't be a problem.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried

I wouldn't know how the vendor knows about all the other clones, other than the ones he sells. But I can say my clone works on both petrol and diesel C3 models as I have used it on both. A later petrol needed a software update, but its easy enough to download and install new diagbox/lexia software. The diesel connected straight out of the box.

There is a topic for lexia and links to ebay for lexia that do work.

My OBD ELM327 didn't work with the diesel, but that's because the early diesels are not fully OBD compliant, hence the need for Lexia :)

Thank you to All
Yesterday i searched again on Aliexpress, many other sellers told me that it does not work for diesel,
but finally i found one chineese seller that tell that it works, so i buy from him.

By the way, he told me there are two versions:
one cheaper, and one more expensive , they call it 'full chip'

they tell that the cheaper cannot recognize the model of the car when you connect it, and you have to select by yourself the model
instead the more expensive (full chip) recognizes the model of the car, you dont need to specify the model

can i know which version of lexia you have bought? (cheaper or full chip?)
which do you suggest me?

Thanks!

With my Lexia I have to select the make (Citroen), then Model (C3), then enter the RPO from the door shut and it is then connected.

So from your description, I guess mine is the one that doesn't recognise the model.

Mine doesn't recognise the car type either, TBA I thought that was down to the age of the car rather than the interface? Either way it works, I've even programmed keys and fobs with it. That feature is often missing from cloned interfaces, I suspect because it requires security chips in the interface that the cloners can't copy.

HEllo,
finally LEXIA3 arrived
I installed the DIAGBOX (that includes LEXIA and PP2000) on my windows 7 laptop
and it works
I have a question:
to enter in some menus (e.g. SCANTOOLS, if i remember well) it asks for user authentication:
it asks for user/password
Which user/password i have to provide?

Thank you!

Stick with the Lexia application, scantools doesn't work with early cars.
