When we looked at a car last week that seems like a good buy we noticed that when standing outside holding the keys the car locked itself and the drivers mirror folded,,,Ive heard of cars that have had this feature and it sounds like a pain in the arse,,anyway now Ive seen a post which described this behaviour in a C3 Picasso as a fault and not a feature,,so is automatic self locking supposed to be happening because if not I would like to get the dealer to look at it for me before we buy?
Many thanks in advance for your help,
Steve.
self locking, is this a fault??

Hi
They self lock when they have been remotely unlocked, but no doors were opened.
It's as if the BSI thinks you unlocked the car but forgot why you did and it decides to lock itself, so you can unlock it again.
It shouldn't lock itself if a door had since been opened and closed.
