Hi I see there is a blue sport 1 of these for sale where I live 15k on the clock old lady owned it and asking 1200
Does need a new boot as a massive dent and couple of other bits on bodywork
1 question- has a semi automatic gearbox
But you either have manual or automatic does semi mean you have gears to select but no clutch
2 - automatics are not good on fuel

Hi ohspecial1, welcome to the forum.
A semi-auto C3 refers to the sensodrive gearbox which is just like a manual gearbox, but with a computer controlled actuator for the gear selector and the clutch. Its nothing like an automatic gearbox that doesn't have a clutch, but very much like a manual gearbox.
The sensodrive can be as economical as a manual because there are no extra losses from the transmission fluid and torque converter found in an automatic.
The sensodrive can do all the gear changes or you can manually select up and down the gears with a push or pull of the stick or a tap in the flappy paddles on the steering column.
The sensodrive has a clutch and actuator which can give problems and don't last for ever, just like any clutch.
As with any car purchase, a full service history (its not all about the miles as some things should be changed on a 2 year schedule) is a worthwhile feature.
Is it worth the money? Well, how much will it cost to repair, how much would it cost to buy the same car that is undamaged, you can do the maths and see if the extra work is worth the time and money.

SensoDrive is the fancy c3 model.
It has the same economy (and gearbox) as a manual, but instead of a clutch pedal and stick, it has a set of solenoids that transfer gears for you.
"Robotic" gearboxes are very nice and are an amazing technology, but can be costly to repair.
Keep in mind, It's very different than an automatic gearbox, and driveability is similar to that of a manual gearbox.
Slipping back if stopped going uphill, and lack of power if in the wrong gear.. just like a manual.
Drive it around and see if you like it, best judge.. and remember it has great fuel economy.
