and I like the look of the C3 but I'm not sure what to look for so would appreciate it if anyone could provide some advice on how not to buy a lemon. I've seen some for sale locally, this one looks ok but it has done 90,000 miles. Usually I'd look at cars that have done fewer miles but I'm on a budget of around £1,800 and I want to keep a bit of that back to get a cam belt and a service done. How many miles can I expect a well cared for C3 to do before it starts falling apart and costing too much to fix? This one is low mileage but the front end doesn't look right, there's a gap between the bumper and grill on the passenger side. The advert says it's HPI clear and looking at the photos there doesn't seem to be any damage. Is it worth a look or should I just look elsewhere?

Hi Dave. The C3 starts to show its age at 100 000 miles.
Broken front road springs on all of them,
Engine wise there are petrol and diesels to choose from and the diesels have worn engine mounts and the petrols of them have weird cooling ECU errors.
Never buy a pluriel unless you don't want to open or close the roof.
If you view a car, check all the lights on the dashboard work when you key in the ignition. Take it for a test drive and check the coolant bars go to 3 and listen for jangling , rattling, squealing and knocking .. oh and take a friend who knows cars...
