Re: Picasso 1.6hdi P0339 Error / car turns over fine but won't fire.

Hi All, I'm new to the forum and looking for some help with a 10 plate 50k mile Picasso I was given about a year ago. I got the timing belt, water pump, etc. changed in June about 3k miles ago. It's been running fine up until today when I was driving along the motorway, there was a sudden stutter a...

Re: Picasso 1.6hdi P0339 Error / car turns over fine but won't fire.

Hi Arfur, Thanks first of all for coming back to me so quickly. I didn't actually check that, quite obvious now you mention it but because it was so new and the compression seemed fine I thought it would be ok. brimclell wrote: Mon Oct 19, 2020 11:33 am Also a friend has suggested checking a ring on the crankshaft - do you know what that would mean?

Re: Picasso 1.6hdi P0339 Error / car turns over fine but won't fire.

Also the crankshaft ring is apparently called a reluctor ring. Does that mean anything? It is the part of the crank pulley with the bumps that creates the signal in the crank position sensor. As the crank rotates, its also turns the crank pulley and the reluctor ring creates an alternating signal i...

How did you change the crankshaft sensor?

Re: Picasso 1.6hdi P0339 Error / car turns over fine but won't fire.

Diagbox is for post 2006 cars but also contains lexia for times it is connected to an older car.

So.you need diagbox and it will switch to lexia if necessary.
