Re: Picasso gear lever knob & boot

C3_Picasso-gear-gaiter.jpg

Hi Stuart

It looks pretty straight forward.

Gear knob off, then the surround and the gaiter can be removed.

By all means update the topic should it turn out differently

Re: Picasso gear lever knob & boot

The knob should just pull off, but it is likely to be very difficult. Try not to hurt yourself as it will suddenly go!

Re: Picasso driver's door hinge

My wife's Picasso is in need of a new top hinge on the driver's door. I understand this is a common problem on PSA cars. Any known snags I'm likely to hit doing the job, please? I'll be using a new hinge from a local Citroen parts supplier who has quoted me £65 all in for the hinge. TIA Stuart. Hel...

Re: Picasso external door handle

The last remaining job (that I'm aware of) on Wor Lass's Picasso is to replace the front passenger door external handle. It has a chromed strip in (Exclusive trim) which is damaged and has sharp edges. I have a new handle to ready fit. Obviously the internal door trim has to come off, but once I'm ...

Re: Picasso headlight fault

Did you check the filaments to see if they were actually blown? Corrosion on the plug might give you random results. If the filaments were blown, is the lamp assembly secure? Anything that might impart shock to the assembly? Could just be bad luck with the last bulb. The big thing that determines th...

Re: Picasso door mirror glass removal

Hi

The glass just pops out.

Adjust the glass to give the best access and lever off the glass with a flat tool.

The mirror and it's plastic carrier will pop out.

Re: Picasso front indicator bulbs

I've found the answer, but I'm going to post it just in case anyone makes the same schoolboy error. H6W bulbs look identical to (the correct fitment) H21W until you look very closely at the pin offset . This would explain why mine went in, but were a very tight fit. I've had to order a pair of H21W...

Re: Rear screen demister.

It's the "fuse box" inside the glove box. You said you had "a load of problems" with your car. Any other electrical problems, or things that don't work? They might be related to each other(?). Do you have any sort of test equipment? This will tell us what facilities you have to t...

Re: 12 week lay-up advice needed

If the battery was bought in 2012, it's closer to the end of its life than the beginning. I would bank on buying a new battery (eventually) anyway however I'm not saying you should rush out and get a new one or that the battery wont last the 12 weeks. You could disconnect the battery but you will l...

Re: 12 week lay-up advice needed

Depending on where it is parked, it may be a good idea to park it in gear with the handbrake off. If it has disc brakes, it is possible for the pads to stick to the discs. If they do it can be difficult to get the car moving again.
