Citroen C3 e-C3 All Electric Glossary of terms
The All Electric Citroen C3 has a new list of acronyms and terminology in addition to the usual features of the petrol and diesel-powered C3. This is because all-electric vehicles have a new energy store in the form of a battery, a new way to deliver that power in the form of a motor via the e-toggle gear selector. The battery needs charging as there is no onboard hybrid self-charging, and the two charging modes need explanation.
Regenerative braking
Charge your vehicle's battery every time you apply brakes with Regenerative Braking. The energy usually lost through braking friction is recovered and used to charge the car battery.
DC
Direct Current. A way of delivering charge to the battery that matches the battery's current system; this can allow for faster charging than AC charging.
AC
Alternating Current delivery of the electricity that needs conversion before it can charge the onboard battery. This is more suited to slow charging.
100% DC Fast Charging
With Direct Current (DC) fast charger, the New E-C3 All Electric battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 57 minutes.
Citroen connect touch-screen
The 26cm touchscreen option has wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Battery Pack
An all-electric car's fuel is electricity stored in the battery pack. The battery pack for the e-C3 has a capacity of 29.2 kWh.

29.2 kWh Battery
The maximum energy (fuel) the battery can store is measured in kWh. More battery capacity can mean longer distances between charges, faster performance, or a mix of the two. A larger battery capacity takes longer to charge when all thing is equal. See also ECO/Standard Mode.
E-Toggle

Charging the e-C3 All Electric from 10% to 100% in 10 hours and 30 minutes with a 15 Amp AC plug point at your home or workplace is possible. This slow charging system provides greater flexibility to charge the car with either home/work AC or specialised DC fast charging.
